CVMA DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Steven Bruemmer has been a member of the Design Review Committee (DRC) since March of 2013 and has lived in the Park City area since 2003. As an Architect at Elliott Workgroup Architecture, Steven has been the project managing architect for a number of resort and hospitality projects in and around Park City including: the Utah Olympic Park summer aerial jumps, Sky Lodge Hotel, the Residences at Kings Crown, and Parkwood Place.
Steven has a Masters in Architecture from the University of Oregon, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Minor in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University. With certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Steven is a Licensed Architect in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Wyoming. As an American Institute of Architects (AIA) member, Steven completed the AIA Disaster Assistance comprehensive training in 2011 and is credited as a Building Evaluator in the AIA Disaster Assistance Program, as well as the California Safety Assessment Program. In November of 2015, Steven volunteered to take on the AIA Utah State Coordinator position for the Disaster Assistance Program. Since that time he has also joined the Utah Safety Assessment Program (USAP), and was appointed to the Utah Seismic Safety Commission (USSC) as a Commission Member, in January of 2016.
In June of 2015, Steven was also invited to become a member of the Site and Architectural Review Committee (SARC), for the Colony at White Pine Canyon. As a SARC and DRC committee member, Steven considers it a privilege to contribute architectural expertise and recommendations to the design and development of the Colony and Park City Canyons Village.
Pete Gillwald is a landscape architect/land planner with over 30 years experience (20 in Park City) in resort design, land use master planning, retail/residential design and mixed use developments. Pete currently serves on several design review committees, most notably the Colony SARC, The Preserve DRC, Pinebrook ARC and Quarry Mountain ARC.
As a member of the Canyons design team with ASC, Pete was instrumental in planning several key elements within the Canyons area including the alignment of Canyons Resort Drive, the locations of the Grand Summit Hotel, Sundial Lodge and the original location of the Flight of the Canyons gondola and was involved during the construction of the Grand Summit Hotel and the Sundial Lodge. Later, Pete revised the Frostwood Design Guidelines and reviewed construction documents for the Waldorf Hotel in Frostwood. At one time he was considered the “Mayor” of the Lower Village area during design and review of several parcels in the Lower Village.
Pete has been involved with several non profits in the community, serves as the “Voice” of the PC Miners on KPCW, is a FIL Luge official and currently serves on the US Luge Executive board.
Pete is married to Shelley and has two grown children, Karsten and Anika.
Bruce Taylor, owner and founder of Summit Design Group, has been practicing architecture in Park City since 1989. Bruce has a special interest in sustainable architecture and brings green building principles to life in his mountain living designs. Throughout his career he has shown a passion for community involvement, serving as a member of the planning commission for over 15 years and acting as a Design Consultant for The Colony and Eagle Point.
Bruce has a Bachelor of Architecture from Arizona State University.
Tony Tyler has been a resident of Utah for the past 10 years and has been deeply involved in the development of various projects throughout the Park City region including industrial property acquisitions, permitting and development of large resort condominiums, and high end single family homes. These projects have required his coordination of all aspects of development including land planning, architectural design, and permitting.
Currently, Tony serves as a Construction Consultant/Developer with Mountain Capital Partners, a Project Manager/Construction Consultant for Columbus Pacific, and a Project Manager for Bluebird Group. In these roles, Tony is involved in the following projects: Sandy Pinnacles Apartments, VIA Luxury Apartments, The Allow at Geneva Apartments, The Guild Apartments, Central Park West Apartments, Volar Apartments, Crenshaw Grand Apartments, Bella Terra Apartments, Apex Residences Park City, Viridian, The Kimball on Main, ACC-4, and WV-42.
Additionally, Tony serves as the President of the Frostwood Master Owner’s Association, President of the Pine Meadow Ranch Home Owner’s Association, and as a Board Member for the Pine Meadow Mutual Water Company.
In his free time, Tony enjoys the outdoors with his family. In the summer he enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing. During the colder months, Tony likes to snowshoe, snowmobile, and play hockey.
Spencer White, is a real-estate consultant/developer in the Intermountain West specializing in developments of single family, multi-family, master planned communities, and resort/recreational based development projects. He began his career by developing a small residential project in central California. From this experience he returned to Utah to further his background in architectural design and to continue to pursue his land development interests. He has experience in all levels of land development, project feasibility, due diligence analysis,acquisitions and entitlements.
Spencer joined Replay Resorts in 2015 as VP of Development. He plays a lead role in the development of Canyons Resort and is responsible for the master planning, community engagement, land management and development for all of TCFC’s land holdings in the Canyons Village, Park City, Utah. He holds a B.S. in Architectural Studies and a B.A. in Urban Planning from the University of Utah.
